Method 1: Deleting the Temporary files

  • From the Run window, the user should type “%TEMP%” and then press Enter key.

  • The next step is to choose all the Temporary files and get them deleted from the system.

  • If Error C=51 still shows up when opening the company file, restore the backup of the file (if created earlier). However, if the backup of the file want created, then perform the next method.


Method 2: Fix File integrity issues using the Verify and Rebuild Tool

  • At first, run QuickBooks and when the accounting program is open, move to the File tab.

  • Within File, take the mouse to Utilities.

  • In here, choose Rebuild option and then browse the company file which triggered Error C=51.

  • Run QuickBooks with admin privileges.

  • Following that, make an advancement to the “Help” tab.

  • Here, go for the option labeled “Update QuickBooks” and then click on “Update Now”.

  • The process to start downloading the update can be initiated by clicking on “Get Updates” option.
